Forklift Operator – Overnight Shift

Pay: $17.50/hour
Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday–Friday
Overtime:  Required as needed
Location:  Indianapolis, IN – Park 100

Job Summary

As a Forklift Operator, you will support warehouse and production operations by safely moving ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products throughout the facility. This position also assists with shipping, receiving, inventory, and production line support.

This role is in an industrial bakery environment and requires working in temperature-controlled/cold areas for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move materials and finished products

• Deliver ingredients and packaging materials to production lines

• Move finished products to designated warehouse and shipping areas

• Complete trailer inspections and checks

• Use SAP to process trucks, receive materials, and make inventory adjustments

• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy

• Maintain required shipping, receiving, and warehouse paperwork

• Provide support for shipping and receiving activities

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety procedures, and company policies

• Identify and report potential food safety concerns to a lead or supervisor

• Complete assigned cleaning and preventive maintenance responsibilities

• Follow all required PPE and workplace safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of forklift or warehouse experience preferred

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, food production, or warehouse environment is a plus

• Knowledge of GMP and workplace safety practices preferred

• Ability to understand basic equipment operations and settings

• Ability to work in cold or temperature-controlled environments

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Ability to push, pull, carry, and move materials as required throughout the shift

• Reliable and able to work scheduled overtime when required

Work Environment & Dress Requirements

This position is located inside an industrial bakery. Employees must follow food manufacturing and GMP requirements, including:

• No jewelry

• No nail polish or artificial nails

• Long pants without holes or rips

• Required lab coat and other protective clothing

• Safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, and other PPE as required
