Patient Service Representative We are seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our team! Rocking Horse Community Health Center (RHCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides healthcare services to the Clark and Madison County communities. The organization is looking for an individual to join our Patient Service Representative team. Patient Service Representatives are responsible for providing support for the daily activities of the medical office including filing, phone coverage, appointment scheduling, patient registration and referrals. Proficiency in Spanish and Haitian Creole language in addition to English is a plus. Position Info: Position Title: Patient Service Representative Primary Service Center: Springfield, Ohio (South Limestone Location) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly position Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week Education Requirements: High school diploma or (GED) is required. Proficient in Spanish and Haitian Creole language is a plus. Willingness to learn necessary types of computer applications including electronic health record system. Ability to work in a team environment and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and patients. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is required. Previous experience in a patient care setting and medical terminology is preferred. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in general use of Database software and Word processing software and typing ability; and have the ability to learn and proficiently use additional computer programs. 6. Certificates, Licenses, Registration: A current driver's license and an acceptable driving record is required. An individual who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position. 7. Patient Health Information (PHI) is confidential, only the minimal amount of PHI necessary to accomplish the internal purpose is to be shared or released by staff. Ability to consistently follow instructions, both verbal and written, as well as established policies and procedures. 10. In working directly with the general public patient population, regular exposure to various fragrances, including but not limited to perfumes, colognes, toiletries, cosmetics, air fresheners, and natural bodily odors will occur. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Occasional exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, may occur. Schedule is dependent upon organization and patient needs, and may include evenings and weekends. May be sent home if demand is low, or be requested to work overtime when demand is high.
