Embedded Software EngineerResponsibilities: In this role you will get to design, develop, integrate and test software for our end-user customers and businesses, primarily focused on Link-16 and Tactical Datalink software code bases. Specifically, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, development, and administration of embedded and real time systems. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, and Integration & Test, in an Agile software development environment. You will analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.Basic Qualifications for Engineer Embedded Software 3:Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or another STEM discipline with 5 years of related experience, or Master's degree with 3 years or a PhD with 1 year of experienceProficient in C/C++Proficient in Object Oriented programmingProficient in all areas of the formal software lifecycle process from requirements to testingExperience integrating low-level firmware and software in complex real-time multi-threaded embedded applicationsExperience with developing and debugging embedded real-time systemsFamiliarity with Static Analysis and Unit TestingExperience using Jira/Bitbucket/Git and the Agile software development processExperience in testing and troubleshooting Link16 waveform in an embedded software environmentHands-on experience with lab equipment such as Tactical Datalink radios/terminalsFamiliarity with Link 16/TACAN Waveform Standard DocumentsFamiliarity with Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA)Familiarity with Software Communications Architecture (SCA)Experience with Software Defined RadiosMust be able to obtain a U.S Government Secret level security clearanceAbility to work full-time onsite at our Rancho Carmel location.Preferred Qualifications for Engineer Embedded Software 3:Experience with the Avionics Operating SystemExperience with Xilinx platforms (Zynq, Ultrascale+, and VERSAL)Experience with Yocto/PetalinuxExperience with Communication Protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, Ethernet)Experience with TCP/IP and common network configurationsExperience implementing cryptographic mechanisms using dedicated software librariesFamiliarity with RustFamiliarity with Xilinx tools (Vitis, Vivado)Familiarity with HAIPE, OTNK, and/or IKEFamiliarity with Linux kernel driver development/modificationsFamiliarity with assembly languageFamiliarity with bare metal embedded device driversFamiliarity with PowerPC architectures and peripheralsFamiliarity with IBM tools (Rhapsody, DOORS, Clearcase)Familiarity with Green Hills AdaMultiFamiliarity with MIL-STD-6016Current active Secret or Top-Secret ClearanceCurrent active SAP clearanceCurrently engaged in Networked Information Solutions program portfolio(s)
