Work in a university environment that values education and personal growth Be part of a team that emphasizes respect, inclusion, and community collaboration Serve a vibrant, diverse campus with opportunities to build meaningful connections Ideal Candidate Shares a commitment to education, equity, and service Values community engagement and open communication Wants to grow professionally in a supportive environment Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree and one to two years of related experience Certification by the Vermont Criminal Justice Training Council within the probationary period Physical examination, written examination, psychological evaluation, and background investigation required pursuant to Rule 32 of the Vermont Criminal Justice Training Council Valid driver's license or ability to obtain, and driver's check required Physical and Additional Requirements Ability to communicate effectively with people Physically restrain a suspect Run up/down several flights of stairs and up to 100 yards Stand for long periods of time Walk for several hours while on patrol Drive emergency response vehicle Hear radio and telephone communications at both high and low decibels Use radio and telephone communications with clear diction without impediments Good vision needed Desirable Qualifications Anticipated Pay Range: See Step Plan (.pdf). Current contract expires 6/30/2025; actual pay to be determined with new contract negotiations. Other Information Special Conditions: Non‑standard work hours required, bargaining unit position – Teamsters, 40‑hour work week, provisional probationary period may be required, background check required for this position, weekend work required, this position is ineligible for telework due to essential functions.
