Description

Job Summary: The Podiatrist is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. This role includes evaluating patients, diagnosing podiatric disorders, developing treatment plans, performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, educating patients, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Podiatrist collaborates with clinical staff and leadership to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.


Supervisory Responsibilities: None required; may provide clinical guidance to medical support staff as needed.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive podiatric care to patients in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and diagnose foot and ankle conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medical, surgical, and conservative management.
• Perform forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery as clinically appropriate.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation.
• Participate in continuing medical education as required for licensure.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Support organizational goals and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in podiatric medicine and surgery.
• Surgically trained in forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle procedures.
• Current state podiatry license or eligibility for licensure.
• DEA registration or eligibility.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods during exams and procedures.
• Ability to lift or assist with movement of equipment or patients (up to 25 lbs).
• Adequate vision, hearing, and communication abilities for patient care.
• Ability to respond promptly in clinical situations requiring intervention.
