Job Opportunity – Adult PACU Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: September 11, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM. This facility is transitioning to 24/7 PACU coverage. No on-call required for this position. One nurse in-house with second nurse on call for additional cases.

Highlights:

• 18-bay adult Post-Anesthesia Care Unit with established 25-member nursing team
• Patient ratios of 1:1 for first 30 minutes or ICU-level patients; 2:1 when stable
• EMR: Meditech Magic
• Minimum 2 PACU nurses in unit at all times when patients are present
• No floating required – dedicated PACU assignment
• Navy scrubs provided

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• ICU-level care competency required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPAN or CAPA certification preferred
• Proactive, team-oriented approach to patient care
