Production Manager

Wilmington, MA Direct Hire | $80,000 – $85,000 About the Role We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Supervisor to oversee daily factory operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role is responsible for ensuring production targets are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining safety compliance, and leading a high-performing production team. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and execute production schedules aligned with sales forecasts and customer demand. Quality & Compliance: Ensure products meet quality standards and adhere to company and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA). Team Leadership: Hire, train, coach, and supervise production staff to foster a safe, collaborative, and high-performance work environment. Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and drive cost-saving measures using Lean manufacturing principles. Inventory & Materials Management: Partner with supply chain teams to ensure material availability and accurate tracking of finished goods. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance and oversee machinery repairs to minimize downtime. Reporting & Metrics: Monitor and report on production performance, KPIs, and budget adherence. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Proven experience in a production supervisor or manufacturing leadership role. Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and production systems. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and utilize production software; ERP/MRP experience required. Familiarity with Oracle-based systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
