Health, Safety, Environmental & Security Specialist Job Type: Full-time / On-site Shift + Hours: 1st Shift As a Health, Safety, Environmental & Security Specialist you will be at the forefront of our innovation, driving specialty chemical solutions forward. In this role, you will: Provide leadership, counsel, and technical assistance to the site to achieve HSES goals. Prepare updates to site safety policies and programs. Manage the site’s hazardous waste program. Develop and conduct safety training as needed. Maintain recordkeeping as required by regulations and company policy. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external audits and inspections. Perform duties related to site RC14001 Responsible Care Management System (RCMS). Assist with corrective actions from internal/external audits, inspections, and visits. Lead/participate in safety incident (i.e., near miss, injury, etc.) investigations and root cause analyses. Work with site personnel to improve process safety elements (e.g., management of change). Conduct/assist with hazard assessment activities (i.e., issuing permits, process safety reviews, etc.). Prepare regulatory permits and reports. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an HSES related field, science, or engineering. Extensive years (5 years) of experience in a HSES related role may be considered in lieu of a degree. 1+ years of health, safety and/or environmental experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Previous experience in a chemical plant or heavy industry plant preferred. Your Work Environment At Lubrizol, we’re committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment.
