Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Travel- OR RN is a specialized nursing professional responsible for providing high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This role requires coordination with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members.
• Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and surgical instruments according to protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any complications during surgery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient status, and surgical records.
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 1 year of perioperative nursing experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or relevant surgical certification is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of medical equipment such as Brain Lab, Davinci, and microscopes.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including call shifts, weekends, and holidays.
