Role Description The Analytical Chemist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hamlet, NC, responsible for supporting production and quality efforts through laboratory testing and analysis. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine and non-routine chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using standard laboratory equipment and techniques. The role involves documenting results, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to quality control programs to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory requirements. The Analytical Chemist will collaborate with production and R&D teams to troubleshoot issues, support process improvements, and assist in method development or validation as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment, calibrating instruments, and following all safety and compliance protocols. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including handling chemicals safely, preparing samples, and following standard operating procedures. Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret test data, identify trends, and troubleshoot deviations from expected results. Candidates should possess Quality Control experience, with the ability to perform routine checks, follow quality standards, and support corrective actions. Candidates should possess familiarity with Laboratory Equipment, including operation, calibration, and basic maintenance of analytical instruments. Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) capabilities, such as assisting in method development, optimization, and supporting new product or process initiatives. Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
