Automotive Technician

Overview Service Technician — Starling Buick GMC of Stuart is seeking a Service Technician to join our Tier 1 team in Stuart, Florida. This full-time role focuses on maintaining and repairing vehicles for our Buick GMC dealership. Responsibilities Rocking routine maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, and filter swaps Diagnosing and fixing mechanical or electrical issues in vehicle systems Following the manufacturer's procedures and dealership policies for repairs and warranty work Communicating with service advisors and customers, explaining necessary repairs, and providing accurate time and cost estimates Documenting work performed and future maintenance recommendations Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and ensuring tools/equipment are in good condition Continuing training to stay current with vehicle technology and industry trends Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years experience as an automotive technician Ase and GM certification is a bonus, but not required Knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and problem-solving Attention to detail and good communication skills A valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation and holidays 401(k) retirement plan Employee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts, and services Training and development opportunities Additional information Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Management and Manufacturing Industries: Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Equal opportunity employer statement: Starling Buick GMC of Stuart is an equal opportunity employer.
