Why does the job exist?

The Senior Business Operations Analyst will:

• Work in the Policy and Program Development Bureau and provide support to Bureau Staff.

How does it get done?

The Senior Business Operations Analyst is responsible for:

• Assisting in developing and implementing innovative processes that effectively support all staff;
• Tracking Bureau projects through the Internal Review Process to ensure accuracy and timeliness;
• Providing support in policy and procedure development and implementation for the Bureau and Department;
• Tracking multiple project due dates for the Bureau, such as Fair Hearings and Clarification requests;
• Assisting with federal and state reports, including completion of the reports as well as gathering documents and information and meeting all due dates;
• Working with language contractors and originators from the Department to ensure documents are in compliance with Federal and State regulations;
• Assisting the Bureau with multiple policy and program activities to include research;
• Taking notes for major Bureau meetings, as well as other assigned duties.

• Health Care Authority (HCA) Divisions;
• Other State Agencies.

Ideal Candidate

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Advanced skill levels in Microsoft Word, and Excel;
• Exceptional customer service skills;
• Proficient experience multi-tasking a variety of projects;
• Strong verbal communication and writing skills;
• Strong organization skills.

Minimum Qualification

Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and one (1) year of directly related job experience in the areas of office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience.


Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.


Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
