Job DescriptionOverview: **Per Diem**Pediatric CICU APP (NP or PA) sought for growing San Antonio, TX - Apply Today!Responsibilities: Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking per diem CICU APP (NP or PA) providers to join the growing team at Methodist Children s Hospital in San Antonio, TX, ideally with experience in CICU or Congenital Heart, though PICU with cardiac post-op experience will also be considered. The Methodist Children s Heart Institute takes a collaborative, patient-centric approach to care delivery and walks alongside patients and families on their treatment journey. The program leverages support from the Methodist Health System, the leading adult cardiac program in San Antonio, and HCA, as a member of a 4-program national pediatric congenital heart network. About the CICU: - Dedicated PCICU: Care is directed by CICU team with 24/7 coverage. - Clinical role with focus on direct patient care. The team is comprised of attending physicians and advanced practice providers. - Universal stay unit with collaborative care amongst the MCHI team including Cardiology and Congenital Heart Surgery. - Full complexity congenital heart program and is supported by dedicated clinical and administrative leads, as well as dedicated patient navigator and social worker. - Hospital has full complement of subspecialty services, including ECMO, CRRT, TPE About San Antonio: - 7th largest city in the US with 1.5 million people, the city has diversity and a reasonable cost of living - Easy access to outdoor activities, parks, extensive protected trail system and the San Antonio Riverwalk - a 15-mile stone path in the heart of the city - Diverse cuisine and culture: Designated a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in November 2017, only the second city in the U.S. to receive the designation and home to one of three Culinary Institute of America campuses - Family oriented with good public, private and bilingual school options Qualifications: TX medical license or active IMLC license, preferred Current APRN national specialty certification required Minimum of a master s degree and 1 year post-grad clinical experience required Recent CICU NP experience preferred (within the past 12 months) Benefits and Compensation: Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.
