Senior Fund Controller | Private Equity

Overview

Our client, a rapidly growing financial services firm headquartered in Dallas, is seeking a Senior Fund Controller to join its Real Estate Fund team. This opportunity has opened due to new business and expansion, offering high visibility and a direct reporting line to senior leadership.

This role is ideal for professionals with a background in private equity, real estate funds, partnership accounting , or financial services—especially those coming from public accounting.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage a team of fund accounting professionals
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing technical guidance on private equity fund accounting and financial reporting
• Oversee financial statement preparation and capital activity (calls, distributions, valuations)
• Review and interpret legal and fund documentation within a US GAAP framework
• Identify and implement process improvements using fund accounting systems (Investran preferred)

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of relevant experience in fund administration, private equity, or investment accounting
• Strong background in financial statement preparation and team management
• CPA preferred (not required)
• Experience with Investran or similar fund accounting systems
• Solid understanding of partnership accounting and investment company GAAP
