We connect teams, steward resources, and build strong systems that give our accelerators the stability and flexibility to pursue ambitious questions, collaborate across disciplines, and share their work openly.We're seeking an Information Security Analyst to lead incident and vulnerability management, provide security recommendations for Allen Institute daily operations, and collaborate with administrative and scientific units on InfoSec initiatives. This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of degree and experience requiredExperience in IT environments with strong security practicesFamiliarity with Windows and Mac platformsUnderstanding of information security fundamentals (threat modeling, penetration testing, incident response, network security, physical security, etc.)Knowledge of identity and cloud security technologiesPreferred Education and ExperienceOne year of related experienceInformation security related certificate such as CySA+, Security+, Network+Knowledge and experience with the M365 security tools such as Defender and SentinelExperience with industry standards such as HIPPA, ISO 27001, ISO 31000, NISTFamiliarity with Linux and TCP/IP networking fundamentalsExperience with security concerns in scientific researchFamiliarity with ServiceNowExperience working on large-scale projectsPhysical DemandsFine motor movements in fingers/hands to operate computers and other office equipment, repetitive motion with lab equipmentPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is an essential job and expected to report for work regardless of weather and/or other conditionsOccasional evening and weekend hours requiredAnnualized Salary Range$86,150 - $106,650 ** Final salary depends on the required education for the role, experience, level of skills relevant to the role, and work location, where applicable.BenefitsEmployees (and their families) are eligible to enroll in benefits per eligibility rules outlined in the Allen Institute's Benefits Guide.
