Travel RN - Home HealthAmerican TravelerAlton, Illinois, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$2,547.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN with acute/med-surg and orthopedic experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.DetailsHome Health setting covering adult patients across an assigned POD (zip code group) with a multidisciplinary care teamAverage caseload of 5-20 visits per day using a daily point productivity systemDay shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00-17:00)Rotating weekend coverage required (every 3rd to 4th weekend as needed)On-call responsibilities required after hours and on scheduled weekendsClinicians may be asked to assist in other PODs as needed to meet patient care demandsTerritory coverage ranges from 40-80 miles depending on patient locationsCharting completed in EPICRequirementsActive IL RN license requiredBLS certification requiredPhlebotomy certification requiredMinimum 1-2 years of medical-surgical or acute care experience requiredMinimum 1 year of home health experience requiredOrthopedic experience requiredSkilled in wound care, wound vac management, IV therapy (antibiotics, TPN), and central line/port careExperience with point-of-care equipment including glucometers, PT/INR devices, and IV pumpsOASIS documentation experience preferredExperience with post-surgical, post-stroke, post-ortho/joint, and trach care patient populationsAdditional InformationProvide skilled home health nursing care including wound care, IV therapy, post-surgical assessments, and patient/family educationConduct OASIS documentation, admission assessments, and discharge planningDeliver care for ortho patients including cast, brace, and immobilizer device management, and post-amputation or post-joint replacement careRepresent oneself professionally as part of the care organization with strong customer service skillsRoyal blue scrubs requiredMileage reimbursed at $0.55/mileMaximum 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientationFirst-time travelers are accepted for this roleLocal candidates within a 75-mile radius are not acceptedPrevious permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to this facility as a travezlerStandard travelers may work up to 18 months total, followed by a required 3-month break in serviceHours per week: 40Hours per shift: 8
