Job Title: Emergency Department Inpatient RN Profession: RN Specialty: ER I Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of experience preferred in a Level I Trauma facility or comparable acute care experience License: Current RN license required prior to start date Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Arrhythmia certification required prior to date of hire Must-Have: Proficient in EPIC Description: The Emergency Department Inpatient RN is responsible for providing care for emergency department patients who are admitted and awaiting bed placement within the hospital. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population in both inpatient and observation classes. Registered Nurses in this role will advance their skills and knowledge in emergency care. The department is known for handling high acuity and high volume situations. Nurses must be renowned for thinking and acting quickly to meet the varying needs of patients. Flexibility and resilience are crucial, as well as the ability to work in a team environment. This position offers the opportunity to provide the highest level of satisfaction to both staff and patients. The department is recognized for demonstrating excellence in leadership, practice, education, and advocacy within emergency care. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing, with preference given to those holding a BSN. Relevant experience may be considered for ASN/ADN RNs.
