Leadership and Professional Conduct

- Able to clearly communicate information on our philosophy, company mission integrated with policies and procedures for all federal and state compliance.
- Coaches, teaches and supports regional and facility staff on aspects of human resources and offers tools for success.
- Acts as a role model to facility staff for communication and adherence to our Standards of Conduct.
- Create a culture which emphasizes customer service, relationship building and inclusivity.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level HR staff including Generalists, Benefits, Employee Relations and Safety and Risk Management.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department while supporting and integrating Payroll support and compliance where needed.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Works with the regional and facility managers to maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment law.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organizations long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
- Identifies key performance indicators for the organizations human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organizations success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
- Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
- Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
- Monitors employee morale, provide mentorship and supportive team environment and encourage the professional growth of all employees.
- Oversees safety and risk management including all lines of insurance, workers' compensation, employment litigation, OSHA compliance and guidance of occupational safety programs.
- Leads and assists in directing professional development and networking conferences and events.
- Partners with Programming for compliance in state-specific staff education, orientation and continuing education.
- Develops, trains and adheres to policies and procedures surrounding human resources.
- Conducts site visits to ensure policies, procedures and standards are being met and maintained.
- Coaches, supports and role-models the way for successful leadership and human resources in each community.
- Works with local and national vendors and acts as the responsible party for vendors related to Human Resources.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with all state regulations regarding Residents' rights.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work with employees, vendors and the public at large.
- Genuine concern for the elderly and population served at the community level.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- Must be able to communicate effectively with Residents, families, staff, community officials, vendors, investors and the general public.
- Experience with teaching, training and public speaking preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
