Greensburg Community Schools Central Office - Greensburg, Indiana Open in Google Maps Job Details Job ID: 5727380 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: May 20, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: To Be Determined Job Description REPORTS TO Superintendent and Director of Financial Services POSITION PURPOSE: Compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, and employee identification number from time cards, time clock software, and other records for bi-weekly payroll processing. Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer software, computes wages and deductions, and posts to payroll records. Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll. Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and other deductions for each employee to update master payroll records. Prepares the direct deposit file and submits to the bank. Keeps records of leave pay. Prepares and records monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions. Perform detailed duties as follows (School Year and Misc) Section 125 maintenance (American Fidelity enrollment Software) Jury duty records Sick bank records - certified Attendance reports Preparation of teacher, ECA., Summer School and temporary contracts Retirement forms - TRF, PERF Verification of employment Disability earnings Garnishments, Levies on earnings Checklists for fiscal year end Maintain payroll schedules for Cafeteria, Custodians, Teachers, and other Classified Employees Maintain list of ECA coaches Maintain Administration work calendars Work with Employees on FMLA requests Set up employees in the Doculivery pay stub system Enter youth employees in the Youth Employment System Calculate Leave payouts Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries. Provide customer service to corporation employees that promotes positive communication. Participate in Professional Development Make all deposits to GCS corporation bank accounts Performs other duties as required that require Human Resource oversite. Serves as Deputy Treasurer

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma One-year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
