LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing industrial organization seeking a Supply Chain Operations Specialist to support inventory management, procurement, and supply chain operations.

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Operations Specialist plays a critical role in executing day-to-day supply chain operations by supporting both Inventory Management and Procurement functions. This position is responsible for ensuring inventory transactions, purchasing activities, and ERP data are executed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company procedures.

Approximately 60% of the position focuses on inventory transaction execution and inventory control support, while the remaining 40% supports procurement execution, purchase order reconciliation, and purchasing administration.

This position reports to the Inventory Control Manager and works closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Accounting, Client Fulfillment, and Field Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Operations (60%)

• Execute inventory transactions within the ERP system, including:
  • Goods receipts
  • Stock transfers
  • Sales orders
  • Inventory adjustments
  • Inventory reclassifications
• Support inventory accuracy across manufacturing facilities, staging locations, and customer sites
• Assist with inventory cycle counts, reconciliations, investigations, and discrepancy resolution
• Review inventory movements and resolve transactional issues
• Coordinate inventory-related communication between Logistics, Manufacturing, Client Fulfillment, Accounting, and Field Operations
• Monitor operational queues and ensure transactional activities are completed within required service levels
• Provide weekend inventory support for operational teams
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support audit compliance
• Assist with inventory reporting and daily transactional workload

Procurement Operations (40%)

• Process purchase requisitions and maintain purchase orders
• Review and reconcile purchase orders against receipts and vendor invoices
• Identify and resolve purchasing discrepancies
• Maintain procurement documentation and purchasing records
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and internal controls
• Generate procurement reports
• Support vendor communications regarding routine purchasing activities
• Escalate complex purchasing issues as needed

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of accuracy across all ERP transactions
• Execute established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
• Ensure effective communication during shift transitions and weekend handoffs
• Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Accounting, Client Fulfillment, and Field Operations teams
• Maintain documentation supporting audit readiness and compliance requirements

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Control, Procurement, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field
• Experience working with ERP systems
• JD Edwards (JDE) experience
• Experience supporting inventory control and procurement functions
• Inventory reconciliation and purchasing experience
• Oil & Gas, Chemical, Manufacturing, or Industrial industry experience
• Knowledge of inventory management best practices

Work Schedule

This position follows a hybrid schedule designed to support critical operational coverage:

• Work Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
• Days Off: Wednesday and Thursday
• In Office: Friday, Monday, and Tuesday
• Remote: Saturday and Sunday
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Candidates should be comfortable supporting weekend operations as part of their regular work schedule.

Compensation & Benefits

• $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
