Job Title: Urology RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year in a relevant setting License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Urology background Recent experience with catheter management Experience in an outpatient clinic setting Familiarity with fast-paced environments Description: This position requires a seasoned traveler with a strong Urology background. The nurse will provide care, focusing on patients with conditions such as urine retention, kidney stones, chronic catheterization, bladder cancer, erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, hematuria, and urinary tract infections. Responsibilities include intravesicular BCG mixing and administration, trial of void, catheter exchange, and self-catheterization. The expected patient ratio is 1 nurse to 6-8 patients. The successful candidate must have consistent experience with catheter exchanges in the last 6 months. This role does not require float between units, on-call duties, or weekend shifts. Familiarity with Epic charting systems is preferred. Training for telephone triage may be required if the contract is extended. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and complete compliance documentation prior to starting. References are required covering at least one year of experience within the last three years.
