Our established State Farm Insurance Agency is seeking a well-rounded Insurance Account Representative to join our team, handling both customer service and sales opportunities.

\n

\n

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, follows through, enjoys helping customers, and recognizes opportunities to better protect individuals, families, and businesses.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n

Customer Service & Relationship Building:

\n

\n
• Provide prompt, friendly, accurate, and complete customer service.
\n
• Assist policyholders with payments, policy changes, billing, coverage questions, claims-related inquiries, and other service needs.
\n
• Review customer accounts to identify coverage gaps, additional discounts, and opportunities for better protection.
\n
• Recommend appropriate coverage upgrades, endorsements, and additional insurance products.
\n
• Build lasting customer relationships that encourage retention, referrals, and loyalty.
\n
• Maintain accurate records and consistently follow through on customer requests.
\n

New Business & Sales:

\n

\n
• Assist new prospects from incoming calls, walk-ins, referrals, internet leads, State Farm leads, social media, & other marketing sources.
\n
• Prepare quotes, explain coverage options, recommend solutions, and confidently ask for the business.
\n
• Identify opportunities for Auto, Home, Renters, Business, Life, Health, and other available products.
\n
• Proactively make outbound calls, follow up on quotes and opportunities, and develop new business.
\n
• Build referral relationships and identify opportunities to grow the agency.
\n
• Work toward individual and team production goals.
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Illinois Property & Casualty (P&C) license REQUIRED.
\n
• Life & Health license preferred.
\n
• State Farm agency experience preferred.
\n
• Strong customer service, communication, sales, and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Self-motivated, dependable, productive, and results-driven, with a strong work ethic.
\n
• We're looking for a self-starter who stays productive, takes ownership of responsibilities, and proactively seeks opportunities to help customers and grow the agency—without needing constant direction.

• Positive, professional, can-do attitude and willingness to accept coaching and feedback.
\n
• Fast learner with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

This is a full-time, in-office position. Candidates who live nearby or have a convenient, reliable commute are preferred.
