HR GENERALIST MULTI-STATE SHARED SERVICESThe HR Generalist – Multi?State Shared Services supports day?to?day human resources operations across multiple states within a centralized HR shared services model. This role works closely with HR leadership, business leaders, and employees to help deliver consistent HR support, administer HR programs, and support compliance with federal and state employment laws.The HR Generalist is responsible for a broader scope of HR activities, including employee relations support, benefits and leave administration, onboarding, compliance support, HR systems maintenance, and participation in HR projects. This role also supports HR cases and ongoing employee lifecycle activities with guidance from HR leadership and serves as a consistent HR resource for assigned employee groups.This role is well?suited for an HR professional looking to continue developing generalist skills while gaining exposure to multi?state HR operations.Job Responsibilities:Employee Relations & HR Support:Serve as an HR point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and routine employee relations questionsSupport employee relations matters by assisting with intake, documentation, investigations, and corrective action processes under HR leadership guidanceAssist managers with performance management activities, including documentation and employee coaching supportPrepare and maintain accurate employee relations documentationEscalate complex, sensitive, or high ? risk matters to HR leadership as appropriateMaintain confidentiality and ensure consistent application of company policiesTrack and support employee relations cases from intake through resolution, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow ? upMulti?State Compliance Support:Support HR compliance efforts related to federal, state, and local employment laws across supported statesAssist with compliance activities such as I ? 9 processing, personnel file audits, and record retention practicesHelp track compliance updates and support implementation of policy or process changesPartner with internal stakeholders to support consistent HR practices across locationsApply existing HR policies and compliance processes to day ? to ? day employee situations with guidance as neededHR Operations & Shared Services:Respond to employee and manager requests through shared services channels such as HR inboxes or ticketing systemsMaintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems (ADP or similar platforms)Assist with HR reporting, audits, data tracking, and metrics as requestedSupport improvements to shared services workflows and documentationSupport assigned employee groups or functional areas within the shared services modelBenefits & Leave Administration:Support administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee educationAssist with leave administration processes, including FMLA, ADA, and state ? specific leaves, by tracking documentation and timelinesRespond to routine benefits and leave inquiries and elevate complex issues as neededCoordinate with benefits vendors and internal partners to resolve employee questionsRecruitment & Onboarding Support:Support hiring and onboarding activities, including job postings, background checks, and new hire documentationAssist with onboarding coordination and HR system setupPartner with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR team members to support a positive onboarding experienceHR Projects & Developmental Opportunities:Participate in HR projects such as policy updates, training coordination, compliance initiatives, and process improvementsAssist with implementation of new HR tools, systems, or workflowsSupport HR communications and company ? wide HR programs as assignedRequirements & QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experienceExperience:3–5 years of experience in HR, employee relations support, or related HR operations rolesExperience supporting HR services across multiple locations or states preferredExperience using HRIS platforms (ADP preferred or similar systems)Skills and Abilities:Ability to travel 5-10%Bilingual - English and SpanishFoundational knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practicesStrong organizational, documentation, and follow ? up skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalismEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast ? paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)Preferred QualificationsExposure to shared services or centralized HR modelsExperience assisting with employee relations matters or HR investigationsFamiliarity with benefits administration or leave coordination processesInterest in continued growth within Human ResourcesWork EnvironmentCentralized HR shared services environmentSupports employees and managers across multiple states and time zonesPrimarily office ? based with potential hybrid or remote supportFast ? paced environment with ongoing learning opportunitiesOccasional lifting of files or materials up to 15 poundsEEO StatementArborWorks, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
