Senior Engineering Technician

The Senior Engineering Technician is responsible for ensuring manufacturability in new product designs, diagnosing manufacturing issues, improving manufacturing processes in a fast paced, innovation-centric environment. This also includes, providing system analysis of customer applications and root cause analysis of product and customer system issues.

What You'll Need:

• 10+ years of high-speed electronics design, debugging, and manufacturing
• Experience in fast-paced product development cycles
• Three to five years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment
• Must be perminant US resident
• Schematic Capture (ORCAD) or equivalent
• High Speed PCB Layout, Organic and Ceramic Materials
• Strong Electronic Circuit Failure Analysis Capability
• Communications Circuit Design Including: 802.11 Ethernet up to 10GE, Fiber Channel up to 10 x FC, SPI. I2C, RS-232/422
• Labview, C#, or WinForms Development
• Test Equipment Experience (O-scopes, DCA, BERT, Power Supplies)
• Fiber Optics
• Hands-on Prototype Circuit Debugging
• Design Change Control Processes
• Six-Sigma/LEAN Manufacturing
• Mechanical CAD (CREO, AutoCAD)
• Ability to satisfactorily complete & implement all OJT and required trainings.
• Ability to apply job knowledge & skills to improve productivity, quality & timeliness, & to solve problems, using good judgment.
• Knowledge of optical and communication products, designs & technologies.
• Proficient in CAD system & applicable engineering programs.
• Able to travel to customers individually or as part of a team.
• Ability to implement new technologies or methods as needed.
• Ability to understand & implement ISO & Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Ability to operate equipment & use tools & techniques effectively, efficiently & in accordance with ergonomic principles.
• Ability to anticipate, negotiate & manage conflicts, problems, changing situations & deadlines.
• Proficiency in software, as required; ability to perform math calculations, measurement, analysis or reporting as directed.
• Ability to comply with Company policies & procedures.

What You'll Get:

• Compensation range of $60,000 to $90,000. The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
