Responsibilities Evaluate potential criminal defense cases and provide legal advice to clients accordingly Modify, review, and draft motions, subpoenas, memorandums, sentencing and trial briefs, and other legal documents Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system Oversee criminal defense case files from beginning to end Make court appearances in Fresno, Madera, Merced, Tulare, and Kings Counties Conduct DMV Admin Per Se hearings Supervise and delegate tasks to the team of legal assistants as needed Qualifications Requires a J.D. degree Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are required State Bar Association membership and state license to practice law is mandatory Computer proficiency is essential Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver license for travel to courthouses Sawl Law Group, Inc. is a firm that takes a hands-on approach to every case we handle.
