Role Description

is seeking a Product Owner (Marketplace & AI-Native Delivery to serve as the primary bridge between the business, customers, and engineering team. In this role, you will own the product backlog, prioritize work based on business value and customer impact, and ensure the team is always working on the highest-value initiatives. You will work closely with buyers, sellers, support, operations, marketing, compliance, and engineering teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

This is a traditional Scrum Product Owner role focused on product ownership rather than project management. The ideal candidate has experience managing backlogs, writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, breaking large initiatives into deliverable workstreams, and making prioritization decisions based on data and customer needs.

A key aspect of this role is working in an AI-native environment. You will use AI tools daily to analyze customer feedback, draft and refine requirements, evaluate data, build prototypes, and support decision-making. You will also create requirements detailed enough for both engineers and AI coding agents to build from successfully, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business goals.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst working directly with software engineering teams in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Proven experience writing clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable successful delivery by engineering teams.
• Experience owning and prioritizing a product backlog, balancing customer needs, business priorities, technical constraints, and stakeholder requests.
• Experience working directly with customers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and represent user needs.
• Demonstrated ability to break large initiatives into smaller, well-defined deliverables while identifying dependencies and risks.
• Daily use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies as part of product management and requirements development.
• Ability to review code, data, and system structures to understand functionality and evaluate solution feasibility.
• Strong written communication skills and experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar work-tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in marketplace, e-commerce, auction, or other two-sided platform environments.
• Experience in regulated industries such as firearms, financial services, healthcare, or tax-related businesses.
• Working knowledge of SQL or AI-assisted data analysis tools.
• Experience building prototypes with AI tools to validate concepts and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Experience working alongside engineering teams that leverage AI coding agents.
• Experience supporting products with significant customer support demands while balancing roadmap priorities.
• Experience with search-related product functionality, optimization, and measurement.
