This position is ideal for someone who understands both the technical and construction sides of building automation and is comfortable taking ownership of projects from initial handoff through installation, startup, commissioning, and closeout. You'll work closely with customers, contractors, field technicians, programmers, and internal teams to keep projects organized, profitable, and moving forward. What You'll DoManage commercial BAS/BMS and HVAC controls projects from kickoff through completionCoordinate technicians, electricians, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and project schedulesServe as a primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, mechanical contractors, and project stakeholdersReview project plans, specifications, controls drawings, submittals, and construction schedulesCoordinate field installation, controls programming, startup, commissioning, and turnover activitiesTrack project budgets, labor hours, job costs, purchasing, change orders, and overall financial performanceConduct jobsite visits and participate in construction and coordination meetingsIdentify project risks, resolve field issues, and keep projects on scheduleMaintain clear communication between field teams, engineering, programming, and customersEnsure completed projects meet quality expectations and contractual requirementsWhat We're Looking For5+ years of experience within building automation, HVAC controls, DDC, mechanical, or electrical constructionPrevious project management experience within BAS/BMS or HVAC controls strongly preferredSolid understanding of commercial HVAC systems and DDC controlsExperience coordinating controls technicians, electricians, subcontractors, and other field personnelAbility to read mechanical plans, electrical schematics, controls drawings, and construction documentsExperience managing project schedules, budgets, change orders, and job costsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Distech, ABB, or comparable BAS technologies is a plusValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout the DFW area as neededJobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
