Occupational Therapist (OT) - Day Neuro

PRN

PRN Rate: $60/hr

Our team is looking for a PRN occupational therapist to assist multidisciplinary team in the Grapevine Day Neuro Clinic. Program focuses on return to highest level of independence possible as well as community reintegration for patients with acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injures. Additional co-morbidities include aphasia, cognitive communication deficits, motor speech disorders, and dysphagia. Patients are treated as part of a multidisciplinary team, up to six hours a day, Monday through Friday. Cognitive rehab, TBI, and CVA experience required. Preferred exepreince with SCI. Looking for candidates who are creative, innovative, flexible and work well on a team. Available shifts would be weekdays between 8:30am - 4:00pm.

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
