80% FTE, mix of 12-hour day shifts 7:00am - 7:30pm and pm shifts 3:00pm -11:30pm with a weekend and holiday rotation. The Med Surg 3rd floor Inpatient unit is a fast-paced, 27-bed medical surgical unit that offers rewarding nursing opportunities at a Magnet designated hospital with the latest state of the art technology and equipment!

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

• Help provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a professional environment that fosters and values collaboration, respect, and diversity.
• Join a team of remarkable nurses and have the opportunity to care for general care and select IMC patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.
• Work in a collaborative environment, surrounded by state of the art technology, evidence-based practice and a strong interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice changes.
• Collaborate in the development, execution and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

• Inpatient Units: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
• Relevant RN Experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
• Current CPR/BLS Certification Required
• Relevant Certification Preferred
