International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

Location: Massachusetts

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Days 8 hours - Monday through Friday

Job Description: This position is responsible for providing expert assessment, treatment, consultation, planning, and leadership oversight for optimal lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The candidate will formulate an interdisciplinary plan of care for patients with advanced lactation support needs and communicate related goals and plans with the care team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert lactation management in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Assess and develop individualized care plans for lactation support.
• Provide education and consultation for prenatal and postpartum lactation needs.
• Document care accurately and efficiently within Meditech Expanse, if applicable.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1+ years of experience as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) - Equivalent certifications are not accepted.
• A minimum of 2500 hours as a breastfeeding consultant.
• Experience with inpatient lactation programs is required.
• Outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education, consultations, and/or teaching experience is required.
• Active Massachusetts license is mandatory.
• Board certification must be included in the profile upload.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
