Inspect damage at repair shops, salvage yards, customers' homes, or in a virtual estimating environment Estimate the cost of repairs Negotiate settlements Issue payments Provide excellent customer service Service boat, motorcycle, RV, and other specialty claims Interact with customers and repair facilities Requirements Valid driver's license meeting company underwriting guidelines Ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits Willingness to be flexible with primary work location; position may require remote or in-office work Solid computer skills Mechanical aptitude Multitasking skills Effective attention to detail and decision-making skills Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience appraising automobiles Preferred experience appraising motorcycles and RVs Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers and repair facilities Must be able to obtain a Texas all-line adjuster's license At this time, GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in estimating repair costs and negotiating settlements while providing exceptional customer service.
