About the Position

Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina

Start Date: July 6, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling options; weekends and on-call opportunities available upon approval

Highlights:

• Work in a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit at a nationally recognized, 815-bed flagship hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2, ensuring focused, individualized patient care
• Experience diverse case mix including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and cesarean hysterectomy procedures
• Utilize Cerner EMR, Fetal Link monitoring system, Baxter Pumps, and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Join a collaborative team of 120 staff members including charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs on day and night shifts
• Opportunity to float to specialized units including Maternal Fetal Medicine, Mother-Baby, and NICU

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• Current certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS or ACLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Circulating experience preferred
