\nPosition Overview\n
\n
\nThis role is responsible for ensuring that all modular units and components meet company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Control Specialist will perform inspections throughout the production process, document findings, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.\n
\n
\nKnowledge and Expertise\n
\n
\n• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and applicable codes.\n
\n
\n• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.\n
\n
\n• Proficiency with inspection tools (tape measures, calipers, gauges, etc.) and reporting software.\n
\n
\n• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.\n
\n
\n• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.\n
\n
\n• Commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.\n
\n
\nResponsibilities\n
\n
\n• Inspect modular units, components, and materials at various stages of production to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.\n
\n
\n• Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using appropriate tools and equipment.\n
\n
\n• Identify, document, and report non-conformances; work with production and engineering teams to resolve issues.\n
\n
\n• Maintain accurate and organized inspection records, checklists, and reports.\n
\n
\n• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety standards, and company policies.\n
\n
\n• Support the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.\n
\n
\n• Assist in training production staff on quality standards and best practices.\n
\n
\n• Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients regarding quality status and findings.\n
\n
\n• Participate in final inspections prior to delivery to ensure modular units are complete and meet customer expectations.\n
\n
\nRequirements\n
\n
\n• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in construction, quality assurance, or related field preferred.\n
\n
\n• Minimum 2+ years of experience in quality control, inspection, or construction (modular or prefabricated construction experience a plus).\n
\n
\nWorking Conditions\n
\n
\n• Manufacturing environment with exposure to external temperature\n
\n
\n• Standing and walking required most of the time\n
\n
\n• Lifting up to 50lbs required on an occasional basis\n
\n
