Assists County Nurse manager (CNM) with daily operations of health department(s). Serves as mentor/preceptor for new nurses and or preceptors for nursing students. May manage specific program activities and or specific program evaluation. Supervises and plans work of assigned staff. Applies principles of population health to practice. Participates in the planning, organizing and evaluation of program areas to insure the goals and objectives(s) of the program are met. Provides treatments, administers medications/vaccines and provides preventive and maintenance care to patient/families consistent with care plan and or physician treatment plan. Will serve as second in charge to assist CNM with staffing/ assignments and care for patients Will serve as nurse lead/expert in specific clinic programs Will work closely with CNM, nursing Director and nursing education coordinator to ensure all nursing protocols are up to date and followed closely by all nursing personnel.

All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
