Candidate will perform technical duties relating to scrub personnel, including precise & efficient reaction to all situations & assist with departmental work as assigned. Surgical techs have a vital role in creating and maintaining a sterile surgical environment and ensure that surgical equipment is functioning properly & safely as well as assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.* Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligible* Approved pharmacology course or previous medication experience and successful achievement in medications exam.* Knowledge in the use of cleaning/sterilization/disinfections of equipment and instrumentation utilized in the clinical operating room setting.* OR experience preferred* Desire to work within an Operating Room setting.* BLS required.* Continuing education requirements of 15 CEU's per year.Samaritan is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
