Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is recommended. Unit Specific Details Unit Size: 32 beds, 5 recliner chairs (can flex up to 10 hallway beds) Patient Population: Very busy; all ages and medical complaints; daily trauma (located near 3 major highways); includes MVAs, mass casualties, GSWs, stabbings, stroke alerts, and STEMIs; nearby prisons (patients may arrive with guards); behavioral holds (including Alzheimer’s patients); occasional pediatric holds awaiting transfer Equipment/Skills: Alaris pumps, Panda warmers, Hamilton ventilators, Autopulse, GlideScope, AmbuScope, ultrasound, EKG machine, bladder scanner, cast cutter, Philips monitoring, Omnicell Support Staff: 2–5 techs per shift; unit secretary; may include LPN support per RN zone Ratio*: 1:4–5 Ratios are subject to change based on facility needs and are not guaranteed AMN Healthcare offers excellent compensation, discounts, and perks, plus dedicated recruiters and clinical support.
