Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship The Department of Management, Marketing and Management Information Systems at Winston‑Salem State University invites applications for a full‑time, 9‑month, tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship. The position begins August 2026 and requires a strong commitment to teaching, research, and community engagement. Primary Responsibilities Teaching and Mentoring Provide undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship courses in face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats. Design detailed syllabi and deliver engaging instruction for up to 12 credit hours per semester. Integrate technology (e.g., Canvas, Adobe tools) to support diverse learning styles. Maintain regular office hours aligned with teaching load. Scholarship and Creative Activity Advance a research agenda focused on entrepreneurship or related disciplines. Publish high‑quality peer‑reviewed articles. Present research at local, national, and international conferences. Seek extramural funding through interdisciplinary collaborations. Service and Engagement Participate in faculty governance at the university level. Develop scholarship‑supporting program proposals and policy improvements. Apply disciplinary expertise to professional and community service organizations. Qualifications A minimum of an MBA from an AACSB‑accredited university; a doctorate in business or a related field is preferred. Strong teaching background or demonstrated potential for teaching excellence. Track record of published scholarly research in peer‑reviewed journals or potential for such publications. Experience partnering with business and industry, and engagement in entrepreneurial activities including community involvement. Preferred Qualifications Experience delivering both on‑campus and online classes. Background in new‑venture launch and/or operations. Experience procuring extramural grant funding. Prior collaboration with business and industry partners. Appointment: Permanent Full‑Time, 9‑month tenure‑track. Salary: Commensurate on education and experience.
