Job Description As a Security Officer Screening Examiner in Jeffersonville, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeWed05:30 AM - 03:00 PMThur05:30 AM - 03:00 PMFri05:30 AM - 03:00 PMSat09:30 AM - 07:00 PM What You\'ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and packages entering the facility in accordance with access-control procedures, verifying identification and maintaining required entry records. Monitor screening equipment, access points, and visitor processing areas; report unusual activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating with Allied Universal supervision and client representatives as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned screening areas, the business, and perimeter, documenting observations and helping to deter unauthorized access. Minimum Requirements Have at least one year of security-related experience. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
