Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)The Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse is responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a specialized cardiovascular care environment. This role requires a solid understanding of cardiac conditions and the ability to assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions for patients in stepdown units.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care to cardiac patients in a stepdown unit.Monitor vital signs and assess patients' health status.Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.Educate patients and families regarding cardiac health and recovery.Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the medical record.QualificationsCurrent RN license.A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in cardiac stepdown.Certifications required: BLS and ACLS.Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.Work ScheduleThis position requires 36 scheduled hours per week, specifically working three 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. Nurses are expected to work every other weekend. Block scheduling is not accommodated.Additional InformationPlease note that there are no requests for time off from February 8, 2027, to March 31, 2027, due to an Epic implementation project.
