Assistant Golf Professional

The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for carrying out daily golf shop and golf service operations, assists in supervising Golf Shop Sales Associates and Golf Services Staff, assists in effectively monitoring and managing course play.

The base salary range for this position is $22.00 hourly.

Able to operate a point of sale computer and accurately collect and exchange currency, and process other forms of payment for products purchased and services rendered, demonstrates effective execution of tee time reservations, golfer processing, merchandising, training, etc. Has a hands-on role in executing group and tournament outings, provides daily records to assist with various reports.

Must be able to work variable days, hours, and shifts. Is the first point of contact for the Golf Shop and GSA teams, and responds to the needs of the team. Assists Golf Management team in conduct and discipline providing insight on staff performance. Responsible for the overall golf operation in the absence of the management team. Assist with tournament preparation including scorecards, cart signs, scoring, and staff assignments based on the tournament needs. Ensures the facilities associated with the golf operation are kept in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

Must be able to function independently and effectively under tight deadlines without compromising quality of work or general work productivity. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, ability to stand for extended periods. Must be able to comply with all House Rules and Company/Departmental policies and guidelines. Proficient in office software, tee sheet software, and other technology skills related to golf apps, etc. Must be a team player.

Qualifications

• Experience with a diversity of golf course operations such as resort, private and/or semi-private.
• A demonstrated understanding for high levels of guest services, and guest expectations.
• PGA certification, or pursuit of, preferred.
