Medical Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator

Alderwood Vision Source is hiring a Medical Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator to join our friendly, fast-paced eye care team in Lynnwood, WA.

Previous medical office experience is preferred, especially experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, billing, or front-desk responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Maintain an accurate and organized patient schedule.
• Verify basic insurance information and eligibility.
• Explain insurance benefits and coverage information to patients.
• Update patient information and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and other team members.
• Help keep the front office organized and running smoothly.
• Assist in other areas of the clinic when needed.
• Complete additional duties and projects assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ year of medical office experience preferred.
• Experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, dental, or other healthcare office is a plus.
• Familiarity with insurance plans, benefits, or medical billing preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with computers and learning new software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Passion for providing an excellent patient experience.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, including two evenings per week.
• Reliable transportation to Lynnwood, WA 98036 .
