IT Systems Support Specialist or Senior Specialist (Contract to Hire)

Position Summary This IT Systems Support position (On-site) in Information and Technology Services is a temporary, non‑exempt role at Kashiv BioSciences, LLC, located in Piscataway, NJ. The position may require up to 20% travel to Chicago, IL. The incumbent will support computers, servers, and networks, including documentation, installations, upgrades, and monitoring of network performance in a Pharma/BioSciences GxP environment and lab equipment–related projects. The role is not eligible for H‑1B or other immigration sponsorship, and applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide Tier 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues. Perform routine system‑administration tasks, including user account management via Active Directory and Azure AD. Configure, deploy, and maintain workstations, software packages and security updates. Monitor and support local and cloud‑based network systems (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi). Manage and troubleshoot Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). Use ticketing systems such as Zendesk to track, prioritise and document support requests. Conduct basic network diagnostics with tools such as ping, traceroute or ipconfig. Assist with asset tracking, license management and hardware inventory control. Provide technical support for remote users via remote‑desktop tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP). Follow standard operating procedures for incident response, escalation and documentation. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of endpoint‑security solutions (antivirus, disk encryption, MFA). Provide IT support for validated systems and applications used in GMP environments, ensuring data‑integrity and compliance. Assist in deployment, configuration and maintenance of GMP‑compliant IT infrastructure, including system validation and documentation. Support audit readiness by maintaining proper documentation of changes, incidents and system configurations in line with GMP guidelines. May be required to participate in other critical business‑impacting projects outside the regular duties outlined here. Requirements Position Requirements and Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 1–3 years of experience in the IT industry (or equivalent experience). Preferred Requirements Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining workstations, software packages and security updates. Experience monitoring and supporting local and cloud‑based network systems. Experience managing and troubleshooting Office 365 applications. Strong problem‑solving, strategic planning, multi‑tasking, quality focus, coordination and quick‑study skills. Knowledge of analytical lab, pharma manufacturing equipment and quality systems. Up‑to‑date with company‑mandated GxP training via MasterControl. Refer to the Essential Duties and Responsibilities section for full detail. Compensation Hourly pay range: $25‑$45, depending on experience and fit for the position. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Fluent reading, writing and speaking in English. Working Environment / Physical Requirements Cubicle space (as available). Standard office noise; higher levels in manufacturing areas. Walking through manufacturing and quality/GxP lab areas and to workstations when required; no special lifting required. No special visual or stress requirements beyond a high‑paced, demanding environment. Minimal to moderate travel between Chicago, IL; Piscataway, NJ; and South Plainfield, NJ.
