Overview Senior Project Accountant - Construction Accounting. This Jobot Job is hosted by Jon Lopez. Salary $70,000 - $100,000 per year. A Bit About Us: An established and growing multifamily and commercial real estate development company is looking to hire a Senior Project Accountant. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working for a construction GC on projects in the $50M-$100M range. Responsibilities Overseeing all financial aspects of our multifamily construction projects, from start to finish. Managing job costing processes, ensuring that all costs are accurately recorded and tracked. Preparing and processing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Conducting year-end close procedures, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Maintaining the ledger, recording all financial transactions and ensuring accuracy. Utilizing Timberline and Viewpoint software to manage and track project finances. Managing Work in Progress (WIP) schedules, tracking project progress and costs. Handling Time and Material (T&M) billing and change orders, ensuring accurate and timely billing. Processing lien waivers, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and filed. Collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Providing financial reports and updates to senior management, as required. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry. Proven experience with job costing, invoicing, year-end close procedures, and ledger maintenance. Experience with Timberline and Viewpoint software. Familiarity with WIP schedules, T&M billing, change orders, and lien waivers. A strong understanding of the financial aspects of construction projects, particularly multifamily projects. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
