Community Manager - HOA Property Management

START A CAREER IN COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT WITHOUT PRIOR HOA EXPERIENCE! We seek positive and motivated professionals who want to make a complete career change to property and HOA community management. No prior HOA experience is required; our education company will provide an industry‑leading foundation. Training lasts one year, and you’ll become an industry expert within three years. You will also have mentors assigned to provide real‑life support to advance your skill set. The typical background could be from retail, restaurants, hospitality, administrative roles, department managers, office management, operations, and many more. Candidates usually have 8 to 10 years of professional experience in roles that require proactive effort and decision making. Helpful skills include customer service, administration, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, insurance, budgeting, financials, legal matters, and vendor management. WHAT IS A COMMUNITY MANAGER?

Put simply, the community manager is the face of our organization and a liaison between the HOA's board of directors, homeowners, and vendors. The role requires ownership of all tasks and projects, customer service leadership, vendor management, and portfolio operation.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Live our Same Day Response Policy passionately. Engage with board members and homeowners. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for a portfolio of associations. Plan and facilitate association board meetings and annual meetings. Handle vendor relations, including bidding and project management. Consult with other departments to support your communities. Risk management, insurance, and litigation support. Prepare budgets and manage association finances. Be available for after‑hours emergencies. Additional tasks as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

We want a customer‑centric, organized, accountable, and multitasking team player who is coachable and takes extreme ownership of tasks. 8+ years of solid work experience. Ability to attend or run evening meetings (30–40 per year). High‑level organizational skills in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Fast learner of other business computer systems. Strong customer‑friendly communication skills. Experience with financial statements and budgets. Comfortable with public speaking in small and large meetings. Strong conflict management skills in stressful situations. Experience gathering bids and managing large projects.

TRAINING PROGRAM

Qualified candidates will be offered an interactive training program that includes: A Community Manager mentor to guide on the job. Learning from a community of managers at varying experience levels. A unique in‑house, web‑based learning academy. Updates on changing laws and seasonal topics throughout the year.
