About the Role
Join a dynamic team as an Electric Operations Resource Coordinator III and play a pivotal role in optimizing electric operations in Providence. You'll coordinate the scheduling, dispatch, and reporting of maintenance and construction activities, ensuring efficient utilization of field crews and resources. Engage with key stakeholders, municipal officials, and field operations management to keep vital projects on track, meet regulatory deadlines, and support Rhode Island's energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities


- Schedule, dispatch, and track both in-house and contractor crews for maintenance and construction projects.
- Prepare permit applications and assemble comprehensive work packets to support capital and field maintenance work.
- Accurately enter and monitor data in work management systems to ensure regulatory compliance and timely work completion.
- Facilitate daily operational meetings with supervisors and contractor foremen to drive project progression and resource optimization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, sharing best practices and ensuring consistent project delivery.
- Liaise directly with local permitting agencies to secure necessary approvals for project advancement.
- Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for greater efficiency and process improvement.
- Serve as a backup to the Resource and Work Coordination Supervisor for all permit-related matters.
- Support the training and development of team members involved in the permit process.

Required Skills and Experience


- Minimum 2 years of professional experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, extended hours, and travel to various in-state locations as needed.

Preferred Skills


- Experience with CGI OpenGrid.
- Previous experience in a utility environment or knowledge of natural gas system operations.
- Background in work planning, scheduling, or process management and improvement.
