About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year travel experience required License: Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: - Previous charge experience (2 years preferred) - Trauma Level I experience preferred - Experience with a charting system Description: Travel experience is required. Position will not float between units. On-call is required. Weekends are required. Block schedules are not required. Expected ratios are 1:1. Must be available for weekday call (16 hours every 4 weeks) and weekend call (24 hours every 4 weeks). Weekend shifts may be required as needed for department needs. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults. Daily census is approximately 60. The facility has a total of 21 operating rooms. Specialties include Bariatrics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Neuro, ENT, General, Urology, and more. Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment and procedures. Experience with robotic surgical systems is preferred. Must have strong aseptic technique. Candidate must submit references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless for an agreed-upon interview. All requested time off must be made with the application for pre-approval. Inflexibility beyond the contracted schedule may lead to termination of the contract.
