Pharmacy TechnicianYour future role at a glanceLocation: Nashville, TNFacility: Ascension Saint Thomas MidtownDepartment: Pharmacy Services InpatientSchedule: Full-time | Night Shift | 7 on / 7 offHow you'll make an impact in this roleProactively maintain automated dispensing systems to ensure seamless, secure medication access for clinical units.Accurately prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds and repackage medications according to strict CPhT safety standards.Manage the pharmacy's lifeblood by overseeing inventory, receiving supplies, and ensuring all stock meets regulatory storage requirements.Serve as a primary point of contact, triaging complex inquiries and providing vital information to patients and healthcare professionals.Partner with Pharmacists to deliver high-level distributive services and maintain the technical integrity of the pharmacy department.What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.And one or more of the following Required:Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.Education:High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
