Insurance Litigation Special Counsel

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Litigation Special Counsel to join its team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in insurance and reinsurance disputes, with a focus on developing pretrial and trial practice skills. Duties Draft complex legal submissions. Prepare witnesses for trial. Conduct expert discovery. Engage in trial practice, often in arbitral settings. Collaborate effectively with team members. Requirements 7+ years of experience in litigation. Interest in arbitration trial practice. Comfortable with significant responsibility. Education JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Admitted or eligible for admission in New York or the District of Columbia. Skills Experience in complex litigation matters. Insurance/reinsurance background preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to balance and prioritize competing priorities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
