Sr Accountant

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accurate and complete financial records.
• Investigate account variances and discrepancies, identifying root causes and resolving issues promptly.
• Review, analyze, and interpret accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Manage critical components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support annual audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to auditor requests, and assisting with audit deliverables.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects that enhance accounting operations and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting guidance to complex transactions.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and solve problems effectively.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, system upgrades, or process optimization initiatives is preferred.
