Retail Technical Training Coordinator- WEST

The Retail Technical Training Coordinator delivers technical training programs for automotive technicians across Goodyear Retail, using in-person, virtual, and hands‑on methods. The role focuses on building expertise in diagnostics, repair, safety, and emerging vehicle technologies (ADAS, EV/HEV). It combines classroom facilitation with in‑shop coaching to improve technician performance and repair quality. The coordinator also manages training compliance, certification tracking, and alignment with OEM and regulatory requirements, and partners with cross‑functional teams to develop curriculum and continuously improve technical capability across the network. What You Will Do Deliver technical training (in‑person, virtual, and hands‑on) across automotive systems and emerging technologies. Coach technicians in‑store, conduct skill‑gap analyses, and improve diagnostics, productivity, and repair quality. Develop and facilitate training programs, including ASE and internal certification preparation. Track training records, certifications, and effectiveness using LMS while ensuring compliance with standards. Partner with internal teams to design curriculum, training materials, and technical content. Support new product, tool, and technology launches through structured training and field enablement. What We Are Looking For Associate’s degree in automotive technology or related field required; equivalent experience (minimum 8 years) considered in lieu of a degree, along with Master ASE Automotive Technician certification (including L1) and additional ASE certifications preferred. Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on diagnostic and repair experience, with exposure to automotive retail, dealership, OEM, fleet, or supplier environments. Advanced mechanical and diagnostic expertise across major vehicle systems, including strong knowledge of diagnostic strategies, tools, and service systems. Strong communication, coaching, and analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts, identify skill gaps, and operate independently in a field‑based environment. Must reside within the assigned territory and be able to travel 75–80% including overnight, with the ability to perform hands‑on demonstrations, meet physical requirements, and maintain a valid driver’s license.
